Pacific Rim leaders on Sunday urged North Korea to take concrete steps to live up to its commitments to stop developing nuclear weapons.
Leaders of the 21-member Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum made the call in a statement at their annual summit, an official said.
Details of the statement were not available because it was only presented verbally at the end of the closed-door summit, underscoring sensitivities over the issue and concerns by some APEC nations about interfering in other countries' affairs.
