Miliband: Medvedev must avoid new Cold War

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband says Russia must not start a new Cold War. Miliband says Russia played power politics in its invasion of Georgia and accuses Moscow of trying to redraw the map in the Caucasus. The British foreign secretary spoke to students in the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Wednesday. He offered a message of Western support for Ukraine and said Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has "a big responsibility not to start" a new Cold War. Miliband also said that Russia has made military gains but will eventually feel economic and political losses.
