UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said Thursday that he would do everything in his power to secure the release of IDF reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, who were kidnapped in a Hizbullah raid on July 12, Israel Radio reported.
In a meeting with Dan Gillerman, Israel's ambassador to the UN, Ki-Moon called their release a "top priority."
Ki-Moon also told Gillerman that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's calls for the destruction of Israel were "unacceptable."
Gillerman reportedly invited Ki-Moon to visit Israel.
