Terror suspect Abu Dujana said bombings carried out against civilian targets in Indonesia did not help the cause of hard-line Islam, but vowed never to reveal the whereabouts of the Malaysian operative who allegedly played a key role in them.
"This is a matter of belief," he said in an interview with the JakTV network. "No matter the circumstances ... it's not permitted to give up a Muslim brother to a government that does not implement Islamic law."
Dujana, identified by police as the military head of the Southeast Asian terror network Jemaah Islamiyah, was arrested on June 9. Hours later, officers seized a man later identified as the overall head of the organization.
