India: Hindu nationalist leader shot by brother

Top Hindu nationalist leader Pramod Mahajan was shot three times by his brother at his Bombay residence on Saturday and he has been hospitalized with bullet injuries, a top police officer said. His younger brother, Pravin Mahajan, later surrendered to police, said Bombay Police Commissioner A.N. Roy. Pramod Mahajan, a top Bharatiya Janata Party leader, is undergoing surgery in Bombay's Hinduja Hospital, Roy said, and added that police were interrogating Pravin Mahajan.
