A mentally ill man wielding a wrench entered a kindergarten in southern China, wounding 18 children and a teacher before fleeing on a motorcycle and trying to stab himself to death, state media reported Saturday.
The man charged into the school in Foshan city in southern Guangdong province on Friday and started attacking students, the Xinhua News Agency said.
Police said they nabbed the man at his home and sent him to hospital because he had stabbed himself in the stomach.
