Bomb blast kills two judges in southern Bangladesh

A powerful homemade bomb thrown at a minibus carrying two judges in southern Bangladesh exploded Monday, killing both and injuring two others, including a suspected attacker, police said.
The victims were riding to the court office when unidentified assailants threw the bomb at them in Jhalakathi town, 120 kilometers (75 miles) south of the capital, Dhaka, local police official Sohrab Hossain said.
Sohel Ahmed, an assistant judge, died instantly, while another judge, Jagannath Pandey, died on the way to a hospital, Hossain said.
Police arrested a suspected attacker who had been injured at the scene, but no details were available immediately about him.
No one claimed responsibility, and the reason for the attack was not clear.
