Australia: Iraq scandal inquiry to present results

An inquiry into multimillion dollar kickbacks paid by Australia's monopoly wheat exporter to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein is expected to recommend criminal charges against several senior executives.
Prime Minister John Howard's government, which ordered the inquiry after the kickbacks were exposed as the largest suspect payments in the UN's corruption-riddled Iraq oil-for-food scheme, is expected to escape censure in the final report, which was to be formally handed to the government on Friday.
The government has said the inquiry's report will be made publicly available when it is tabled in Parliament next week.
