Addressing developments coming out of Syria on Thursday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that information about Damascus' nuclear sites is known to Israel, international athorities and "the intelligence agencies," saying that the International Atomic Energy Agency is working to gain access to the sites.
The second report about Damascus was about possible peace negotiations, to which Barak said, "it is something we are examining and will be investigated." Of course, you need two sides, he added.

"It's no secret that there are people in the security establishment, headed by me, that think reaching talks with Syria about a peace treaty is a positive move," he said. "Although,  that is of course something that you need two sides for," he added.
Speaking in Beersheba less than one day after a Grad rocket fell in a residential neighborhood of the city, Barak said that the Iron Dome anti-rocket system will be deployed the moment its batteries are properly configured for the IDF's purposes and for the protection of civilians.
"The Iron Dome is a very good technological achievement," the defense minister said, adding that once it is equipped for use, it will be deployed.
