According to The QS TopMBA.com Jobs & Salary Trends Report , global MBA job growth rate is averaging at 36 percent, with MBA consulting jobs back at record levels in 2011, and MBA jobs in financial services have seen a 27% actual increase in 2011 The report, produced by the team behind the QS World MBA Tour, surveyed over 12,000 employers, the largest global employer survey of its kind ever conducted.
The report found that economic growth in emerging markets is fuelling worldwide demand for MBAs. With the IMF recently predicting Israel’s economy to grow by 4.8% in 2011, MBA demand by Israeli employers is likely to follow the precedence set by its Asian and European counterparts, according to QS.
QS managing director Nunzio Quacquarelli says, “The emerging market boom is also fuelling demand for MBAs within western markets because companies judge MBAs to be best equipped to deal with these opportunities.
68% of employers prefer international study experience and look for strong linguistic abilities and good interpersonal and communication skills.
Israeli MBA candidates are in a unique position as their crosscultural experiences are likely to provide a competitive edge in the international market place.”
The QS World MBA Tour consists of 85 events across 43 countries over five continents during 2011. It offers $1.2 million worth of scholarships to those who attend its fairs.
