Police arrest youths in connection to Jaffa hit-and-run

Several youths were arrested Friday night on suspicion that they were present in the Mazda vehicle that hit two pedestrians in Jaffa earlier Friday evening, Israel Radio reported.
The youths were apprehended by police in a parking lot on Beit Pelet Street in Jaffa while allegedly trying to cover-up signs of the accident.
Police had been searching for a vehicle that struck and seriously injured two pedestrians before fleeing the scene.
The collision left a man in serious condition with a head wound and a woman in moderate-to-serious condition with a head wound; both were evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment.
