Yacimovich: Lapid budget a 'slap in the face' to the public

Opposition leader Shelly Yacimovich on Tuesday responded to the cabinet's passing of the 2013-2014 state budget, stating that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Finance Minister Yair Lapid and the entire government had given a "slap in the face" to the public.
"The promises that priorities would be changed and the working middle class would be strengthened fell away as if they never existed, and on top of that, the poor were cruelly trampled," the Labor party leader complained.
Yacimovich said that the budget cuts were proof of the government's "lack of vision," cowardice and disconnection form society.
She vowed to lead a parliamentary and popular " bitter struggle,"  in order to tone down the "harsh" budget cuts.
