Routine Border Police and Special Patrol Unit (Yasam) activity in the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem on Tuesday quickly turned into a riot during which rocks were thrown at the officers.
Fireworks were also fired at the forces while they were trying to arrest seven suspects involved in the rock throwing.
A local resident who first refused to comply with officers' instructions and then tried to assault them with a pepper spray, was apprehended.
