The Moscow bureau of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty said on Thursday it had filed a suit against Russia at the European Court of Human Rights to get Moscow to refrain from enforcing fines against it in what it says is part of a campaign to force it out of the country.
The US multimedia news outlet has been heavily fined this year for what Russia says is its repeated failure to label itself as a foreign agent in the output of its Russian services and affiliates.
