Dozens protest at Knesset against increased coronavirus restrictions

"This lockdown is [being imposed] entirely for political reasons," said one protester.

Hours before the new coronavirus restrictions came into effect, dozens of protesters gathered near the Knesset building in Jerusalem to express their anger over the recent government decisions in wake of the steep rise in coronavirus infections, N12 reported. Two of the protesters were allegedly arrested.

The protesters brought cow feces with them, hurling it at the Knesset building.
Some of the protestors shouted “this is the symbol of moral stench!" while throwing the manure.
Protesters chased Ministerial liaison to the Knesset David Amsalem when he was on his way from the Knesset building to the Finance Ministry building.
Security guards rushed to close the gates, blocking the protestors who tried following Amsalem.
One of the protesters, Nitzan Weisberg, told N12 that "this lockdown is [being imposed] entirely for political reasons. I am so sorry that I had to leave my four children and come here. The government, and the person who heads it, are responsible for the high infections rate."
Weisberg further noted that "two weeks ago, 2 million parents were ordered to send 3 million children to the education system, when it was known, following the data from the coronavirus committee, that schools were a hotbed for the virus. And there you have it, a full lockdown."
