Turkey, China sign two nuclear agreements

Turkey and China signed two nuclear agreements during Turkish Prime Minister Recap Erdogan's visit to Beijing, Turkish daily Hurriyet reported Tuesday.
One deal is a letter of intent to increase nuclear cooperation between China and Turkey's energy agencies, while the second is a “Cooperation Agreement on the Peaceful Use of Nuclear Power,” according to the Hurriyet report.
Although the details of the agreements are unknown, the deal is expected to deepen nuclear cooperation between the two countries. China is among the candidates vying for a deal to build Turkey's second planned nuclear power plant. Russia is scheduled to build the first.
