Religious Zionist Party arrives at Damascus Gate following altercations

Recent violent altercations at the Damascus Gate concerned Religious Zionist Party MKs.

Three suspects were arrested after disrupting order near Damascus Gate in Jerusalem on Sunday night, Walla reported. This comes after violent altercations have erupted there there over the last couple of nights. Rocks and fire-crackers were thrown at police during the protest. 
Police and security forces flanked the area, spraying locals with water guns and even throwing stun grenades to break up the altercations, KAN reported.

MK Bezalel Smotrich, head of the Religious Zionist Party, arrived at Damascus Gate to support and stand in solidarity with security forces against the protests, reported N12.  
MK Itamar Ben-Gvir joined Smotrich and demanded the police make more arrests and delay the court's release of those already taken into custody. 
"We are strengthening the police and soldiers who are here, but that does not in any way detract from our unequivocal demand. We can act with determination, and when the police want, they know how to do that," Ben-Gvir said as he toured the area with the Religious Zionist's Party on Sunday night.
"The State Attorney's Office and the courts know how to act and mobilize when they want, and this illustrates the need for a fully right-wing government to be formed, in order to preserve Jerusalem and the security of its residents," he asserted.
