'Social Justice' party to run for 19th Knesset

A new party called "Social Justice" (Tzedek Hevrati) will run in the upcoming elections for the 19th Knesset, organizers announced on Monday.
The party will include activists Gad Haran, the head of The Social Coalition, Jacky Edri, the leader of the Dead Sea factory workers protest and attorney Yael Segal-Maklis, who leads civic and legal protests against racism and for equal right to weaker groups.
"It is time to find an alternative to the detached politicians who failed to represent the public in the Knesset," a statement issued by the party said.
"We are facing a social emergency when people in Israel set themselves on fire out of financial despair, and thousands of families find themselves on the streets because they are unable to deal with the housing problem," party leaders added.
