Secretary of State John Kerry delivers address in support of Iran deal

Secretary of State John Kerry made a speech in support of the Iran nuclear deal in Philadelphia on Wednesday after the White House announced it obtained the required votes for its safe passage through the Congress later this month.

Kerry highlighted the US President Barack Obama's strongest arguments in favor of the agreement, saying the IAEA, for example, "can go wherever the evidence leads."

Kerry also noted that if Iran wanted to deceive the international community, it would have to construct an entirely secret chain of evidence to cheat, adding "Iran could never get away with such a deception."

Kerry then addressed Israel's concerns with the deal, saying that "The fragility of Israel security situation" has been presented to me "over the dozen times I have visited" the Jewish State, adding that America's "support for Israel remains rock solid."

Kerry went on to say that, "Since 2009, we have given Israel over $20 billion dollars" for its security concerns, more than double than any other country.

The secretary stated finally that, "The people of Israel will be safer with this deal, along with the rest of the world."
