One of Iran's vice presidents, Ali Akbar Salehi, said on Monday morning that Teheran had no intention of building 10 new uranium enrichment facilities until it was criticized by the UN nuclear watchdog. Salehi told state radio that Iran needed to issue a strong response to the resolution passed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Friday, demanding a halt in construction of its newly revealed uranium enrichment facility. The cabinet in Teheran, headed by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, convened on Sunday to approve plans to build 10 industrial-scale uranium enrichment facilities to produce nuclear fuel.
