Report: Russia, US collaborate in Afghan drug raid

MOSCOW — A Russian news agency is quoting the country's anti-narcotics chief as saying US and Russian special forces have collaborated in raids on drugs labs in Afghanistan, destroying $250 million worth of heroin and morphine.
RIA Novosti cited Viktor Ivanov as saying Friday the unprecedented joint operation hit four laboratories near the border with Pakistan, causing up to $1 billion in damage to the wider drug trade. It is unclear when the operation was carried out.
Ivanov said they seized up to 200 million doses of heroin.
