Report: Egypt temporarily opens Rafah crossing to Gaza

Egypt on Friday opened the Rafah border crossing to the Gaza Strip for two days, following a complete closure since an attack that left 16 Egyptian troops dead on Sunday. The border was opened temporarily for two days, Palestinian news agency Ma'an cited the Gaza crossing director as saying."The crossing will be open for all travelers on Friday and Saturday," Maher Abu Sbeiha said, according to the report.In addition to closing the border, Egypt said it was working to destroy the network of over 1,000 smuggling tunnels that feed weapons, food, fuel and other goods into the blockaded coastal enclave.
