Report: A-G tells Netanyahu deportation of Sudanese legal

Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein informed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday that it his opinion that Israel can legally begin to detain and deport infiltrators from Sudan, Channel 2 reported.Nonprofit organizations working with the African migrant community had contended that Israel could not legally deport thousands of African refugees, asylum seekers and infiltrators as long as it is still party to an international convention on refugee rights.According to Channel 2, Weinstein consulted with the Foreign Ministry and the National Security Council, who both informed him that the Sudanese infiltrators could be returned to areas of South Sudan.The State Attorney's Office will present this position when the issue comes up for discussion in the High Court of Justice in the coming days, according to the report.Read the full story hereEden Golan triumphantly takes the stage as the song "I Love It" plays
