Labor rebel MK Ophir Paz-Pines on Wednesday night called the security cabinet's approval of a 10-month settlement moratorium "too little, too late." He said that had Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu agreed to a settlement freeze before the recent meeting with Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, the summit might not have failed and negotiations could have begun then, but now it was unlikely that talks could begin even with a settlement freeze in place.
