Olmert insists state prosecutor must stand trial for libel

Former prime minister Ehud Olmert reacted harshly Sunday to State Prosecutor Moshe's Lador's request to delay a libel case brought against him by the former prime minister, saying Lador must stand trial.Olmert submitted a letter to the Tel Aviv District Court in which he wrote that Lador continued to use legal loop holes to avoid trial, after the Tel Aviv Magistrate's court reject Lador's delay last Monday.The former prime minister insisted that Lafor must face a court hearing on the libel case, which Olmert filed in February.
