NIS 150m. approved for fighting crime in Arab sector

The government approved on Monday NIS 150m. of funding to fight crime in Israel's Arab society and strengthen Arab localities. 
"This important decision will contribute greatly to the Arab society and improve the safety in the sector," said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 
According to the NGO Abraham Initiatives, the number of murders has been steadily increasing in the Arab sector.
Towards the end of 2020, at one of Abbas’s committee meetings in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a five-year plan – called the 922 Plan – was unveiled to fight serious crime, increase enforcement and improve economic activities in the Arab sector.
