Ni'lin mayor demands Modi'in buildings be destroyed

The mayor of the West Bank village of Ni'lin petitioned to the High Court on Tuesday asking that the emergency services buildings in the settlement of Modi'in Illit be destroyed in line with a demolition order issued against them. According to the mayor, the structures were built illegally on private land belonging to residents of the villagers.

The petition, filed against Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Central Command Major General, assisted by the organization "Yesh Din", demands an explanation as to why security forces are not implementing the demolition orders issued against the local police station and fire station.
