Netanyahu is considering adding the Jewish Home Party into the Likud list

Ma'ariv has learned that a senior and influential activist in the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) party is trying to encourage his party to join Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party. This is against the backdrop of the fluctuating situation of the Jewish Home in the polls and against opposition to joining the National Union led by Bezalel Smotrich, whom the activist views as extreme in his views.
A senior Likud official confirmed that he heard Netanyahu was seriously considering proposing to Jewish Home ministers that they join the Likud list to prevent the loss of votes in the event that Jewish Home running independently would not be able to pass the electoral threshold.
According to the same source, Netanyahu said that the final decision would be made after he saw whether the National Union would be uniting with Attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit party.
The response of the Jewish Home: "No official of the Jewish House will be in contact with any other party until we have completed the process of electing the chairman and assembling the list."
