Netanyahu set to meet Putin in April visit to Moscow

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on April 21, an Israeli official said on Tuesday. Word of the visit comes just two weeks after President Reuven Rivlin met Putin in the Kremlin. During that visit the Russian president said he would meet Netanyahu to discuss security and economic issues in the near future.
Netanyahu was last in Moscow for a meeting with Putin in September, when the two leaders agreed to establish a deconfliction mechanism to ensure that the air forces of both countries would not clash over Syrian skies. The two also met in November on the sidelines of the Paris Climate Conference, and they also speak on the phone regularly.
