Children will go to school in July this summer, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday during a press briefing.
“We need to close the gaps,” the prime minister said, “to give every child a chance to make up what he missed.”
He assured the Teachers Union that the school staff would be paid for the extra time.
“This is what needs to be given to the children of Israel,” Netanyahu said.
