Moroccan police dismantle suspected terror cell

Morocco's Interior Ministry says police have dismantled an 18-member group suspected of plotting against foreign and domestic targets in Morocco.
The ministry said three of the eighteen had past terrorism convictions.
In a statement Wednesday carried by the state news agency MAP, the ministry said the cell "was preparing to commit acts of terrorism and sabotage within national territory and against foreign interests in Morocco."
The statement did not state when or where the cell was dismantled or give any further details.
Morocco has increased efforts to crack down on terrorist groups since suicide bombings killed at least 45 people in Casablanca in 2003. Several hundred suspects await trial on terrorism-related charges.
