US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reaffirmed American “commitment to Venezuela’s legitimate National Assembly and the 100 deputies across all party lines under interim President Guaido’s leadership” in a tweet on Friday.
He called on “the former Maduro regime to cease aggressions and hostilities.”
