Man indicted for killing his three-months-old baby

Saliman Al-Afshak, a 22-year-old man from the Alazazama tribe in the Negev was indicted at the Beer Sheva District Court, on Thursday, for killing his three-month-old son three weeks ago.

According to the indictment, Al-Afshak repeatedly slammed his son’s head on the floor, allegedly because the baby wouldn’t stop crying at night.

Al-Afshak and his wife were arrested at Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva after doctors there didn’t believe the couple’s claims that the baby was injured as a result falling down a flight of stairs. The bay later died of his injuries in the hospital.
