Man found guilty of April Jones murder

LONDON - A former slaughterhouse worker was found guilty on Thursday of abducting and killing five-year-old April Jones in a case that prompted one of the most intensive searches in British history.
April, who had cerebral palsy, disappeared as she played on her bicycle near her home in mid-Wales in October. Her body has never been found.
On Thursday, Mark Bridger, 47, was convicted by a jury in a Welsh court of abducting and killing her, and of unlawfully disposing of and concealing her body with intent to pervert the course of justice, the Press Association news agency reported.
Prosecutors said after the verdict that Bridger was a "cold-hearted murderer" who "spun a web of lies and half-truths" to try to get away with his "truly horrific" crime.
