Man dies after collapsing during work on sewage near Haifa

A 44-year-old laborer from the Krayot died on Tuesday morning while clearing a sewer drainage system at the Vulcan Junction in Haifa’s Hutzon Hamifratz industrial zone. 
The man apparently collapsed into a 4-meter-deep pit. A crew of firemen extracted him and Magen David Adom medics administered first aid, but were eventually forced to pronounce his death.
Investigators from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Labor launched a probe into the incident.
