Malta files official complaint against shooting of national

Malta filed an official protest against Israel on Sunday after a Maltese woman was shot and injured in a protest in Gaza on Saturday.
The Maltese Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying it "deplored and condemned in the strongest possible terms" the shooting of Maltese citizen Bianca Zammit, Reuters reported.
"They had no reason to shoot us. We posed no threat to them whatsoever," Zammit  told AP on Saturday.
The IDF confirmed the shooting, and said soldiers opened fire to get protesters away from the border fence. Israel has declared areas of Gaza near its border to be no-go zones, citing security concerns.
