Livni calls on gov't to save talks in Harvard address

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni called on the government to make the proper decisions that will save peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. Livni made the comments during a Tuesday address at Harvard University.
Livni stated that ending the conflict with the Palestinians was in Israel's own best interest and not just something to be done in order to please the US president.
The Kadima leader also called on the world to toughen its stance on Iran and not to give Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a stage, such as the UN, to deny the Holocaust and talk about the destruction of Israel.
