Kerry to be repatriated from Geneva on US military flight

GENEVA - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will be flown to Boston for medical treatment on a U.S. military C-17 aircraft coming to Geneva from a base in Ramstein, Germany, his spokesman said on Monday.Kerry broke his right leg in an accident while cycling a portion of the Tour de France route in the Haute Savoie region on Sunday and remained in Geneva's main hospital overnight for observation."Secretary Kerry will be transported to Boston aboard a US military C-17 transport aircraft. The aircraft, based in Ramstein, Germany, will be staffed by additional military medical personnel in keeping with standard practice," State Department spokesperson John Kirby said in a statement.
