Jewish Agency's Facebook page bombarded with hate messages

The Jewish Agency for Israel's Facebook page was inundated with hundreds of explicitly anti-Israel and anti-Semitic messages over the past week.
According to an agency statement, the bombardment apparently was timed to coincide with the October 6 anniversary of the beginning of the Yom Kippur War in 1973 as many of the perpetrators were Egyptian Facebook users hailing Egypt’s “victory” and promising Israel’s destruction.
Many of the messages displayed swastikas and violent imagery, as well as conveyed hateful messages in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
The messages were erased as soon as they were discovered.
