IDF: 19-year-old soldier lightly injured from friendly fire

A 19-year-old IDF soldier was taken to the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer late Sunday night after getting lightly injured from friendly fire on his army base near the Maccabim checkpoint, Channel 12 reported.

The incident is unusual, and is currently being investigated.

It seems as though another soldier was toying with a weapon, which ejected a bullet into the air, wounding the other soldier.
