Gaza begins agricultural export season to Europe

Israel facilitated the export of agricultural goods from the Gaza strip to European markets on Sunday. The Coordinator of Government Activities in Territories (COGAT) said that it will continue working to enable Palestinian merchants and farmers to export their goods to markets overseas.
In the coming weeks, Israel is scheduled to allow merchants to export furniture. In total, Palestinian farmers are expected to export around 150 tons of cherry tomatoes, 50 tons of peppers, 1000 tons of strawberries and 20 million carnations.
