was killed in clashes, rebels said, calling for tougher NATOaction as loud explosions rocked the besieged city."There was fighting on three fronts today, the port in theeast, the center around Tripoli street and the west of the city.Mortars, tank fire, and artillery were used to shell thoseareas," the rebel called Abdelsalam said by telephone. "Medicalsources told me one person was killed and five were injured."Like many cities, Misrata rejected Gaddafi's rule in arevolt in February. In a violent crackdown, Gaddafi forcesretook most of western Libya, leaving Misrata cut off andsurrounded, with dwindling supplies.
