Deputy FM Hotovely chides Oren's critique of Obama: 'He doesn't represent Israel, only himself'

Rebuffing remarks made by Michael Oren, who asserted that Israel has been 'abandoned' by US President Barack Obama, Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said that Oren "does not represent the State of Israel in matters relating to our relationship with the United States, only himself."
Hotovely's rebuking of Oren comes in light of two op-ed pieces written by the American born ex-ambassador, in which he provided scathing commentary on everything from Obama's commitment to Israel to the president's sympathies to the Muslim World.
"The United States is a true friend of Israel and every attempt to harm the relationship between the two countries by resorting to personal attacks will not succeed," Hotovely added.
