Court extends accused drug smugglers' remand by 8 days

The Safed Magistrate's Court on Tuesday extended the remand of two alleged drug smugglers, brothers aged 19 and 30, for eight days.
Police arrested the two men in Tiberias on suspicion of smuggling more than 11 kilograms of illicit substances, which could be used in the production of ecstasy, from the Far East into Israel.
The potential street-value of the ecstasy was estimated by police at over NIS 1 million.
