Biden reaffirms willingness to rejoin Iran nuclear deal

US President-elect Joe Biden stood by his previously stated views on the Iran nuclear deal and his willingness to rejoin an agreement, in an interview to the New York Times published Wednesday morning.
When asked if he stood by a September essay for CNN in which he said  "if Iran returns to strict compliance with the nuclear deal, the United States would rejoin the agreement as a starting point for follow-on negotiations,” Biden told the Times “It’s going to be hard, but yeah.”
