IDF soldiers thwarted an attempt to smuggle NIS 720,000 worth of drugs across the border from Egypt into Israel on Sunday afternoon.
"Earlier today, IDF surveillance identified a number of suspects who tried to smuggle drugs from Egyptian territory into Israel territory in the area of the Faran Regional Division," the IDF said in a statement, adding that the 18 kg worth of drugs had been transferred over to the police.
