Anglo MK Dov Lipman honored for frequent Knesset voting, presence at plenum

The Knesset's sole Anglo representative, US-born Dov Lipman of Yesh Atid, was honored Thursday for voting the most on legislation during the 19th Knesset, which was officially dispersed on Monday.
He voted on a total of 1,700 pieces of legislation since being sworn in on February 5, 2013.
In second place was Likud coalition head Yariv Levin, with 1670 votes, followed by deputy finance minister Mickey Levy of Yesh Atid, with 1580 votes.
Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein (Likud) praised Lipman, saying "Dov is a shining example of parliamentary responsibility and could definitely be a called a 'Legislation Champion.'"
In response to the honor, Lipman said that he "was elected in order to work and being present at Knesset sessions and votes is a very important part of parliamentary work." Looking forward to the next elections in March, Lipman said that "God willing, I will continue to work hard and serve the public in the 20th Knesset."
