Ahmadinejad: Obama first to lose unless US attitude changes

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned the US administration on Tuesday that unless it changes its attitude towards Iran "President Obama and the people of the United States would be the first to lose," he did not elaborate, Reuters reported.

Ahmadinejad kept the door open for a change yet to come in relations, "we expected President Obama to start a new policy of the United States. I'm not saying I'm totally disappointed... We ... are ready to talk on every subject on the basis of mutual respect," he said.

Ahmadinejad is in Istanbul attending the Asian Summit (CICA).
