Abbas arrives in Cairo ahead of talks with Mashaal

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas landed in Cairo Tuesday evening ahead of a meeting with Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal scheduled for Thursday.The two were expected to discuss holding general elections next year.The two Palestinian leaders will meet for the first time since the leaders of the rival Palestinian factions signed a reconciliation agreement in Cairo last May.
