Melanie Swan is a British journalist. She began her career with News International in London in 2002 and has been living in the UAE since 2008, when she was part of the launch team of the newly-established English language newspaper, The National. She gained her Masters in Politics from The University of Edinburgh, one year of which was spent at Tel Aviv University, and now writes across fields from news and current affairs to lifestyle.
